• Must have expertise in object-oriented software development and maintenance using Java and J2EE, minimum of 2 6 years experience including but not limited to: Servlet, JSP, JMS, JUnit
• Familiarity with web-based development and standards (HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX)
• 2 years experience developing and deploying solutions for IBM WAS
• Knowledge and experience with relational databases specifically SQL Server 2000 or later, Sybase IQ is a plus
• Strong TSQL skills with experience in debugging and testing complex stored procedures
• Must work well in a AGILE team environment
• Participate in full software development lifecycle using agile / iterative methodologies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Experience with UNIX shell scripting is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience using Hibernate
• Knowledge or hands-on software development experience using design patterns
• Able to understand and translate VB6 code to java
